Assessment study of the Maltese infrastructure and procedures for environmental radiation protection and design of a suitable environmental radiation monitoring network to conform to the European Union requirements in terms of environmental nuclear safety and international data exchange. Drafting of relevant tender documents, for the procurement of mentioned monitoring network within the frame of a co-financed (EU-Malta) project. (2011-2012)

Design and Implementation of a Radiation Monitoring Network, made of fixed stations including each Gamma dose rate, Alpha/Beta/Gamma/Iodine Aerosols Monitors with real time spectrometry with electrically cooled HPGe and local meteorological station, Under Water Gamma Spectrometric Monitors (Provided by MEATECS). The system includes a central data acquisition and management system with addition of modelling for forecast of contaminants spreading in case of accidents. (Provided by MicroStep-MIS).




Singapore / ST Engineering Electronics - NEA National Environmental Agency


Design and Implementation of a Radiation Monitoring Network for Singapore, made of over 40 stations including Gamma dose rate, Alpha/Beta/Gamma/Iodine Aerosols Monitors with real time spectrometry and Under Water Gamma Spectrometric Monitors (Provided by MEATECS). The system includes local meteorological station on each site and a central data acquisition and management system with addition of modelling for forecast of contaminants spreading in case of accidents. (Provided by MicroStep-MIS).
